Frequently Asked Questions

What is included with my rental?

Your rental includes private use of the studio during your reserved time, along with the available furniture, décor, props, backdrops, natural light, and studio amenities listed with your booking. Your reservation is designed to be a private and relaxed experience. In most cases, you and your guests will have the studio entirely to yourselves throughout your booking.

From time to time, we may reach out to see if you’d be comfortable with a brief visit to capture behind-the-scenes content for The Visionary. Participation is completely optional and would only take place with your advance approval.

Each private studio reservation includes access to our thoughtfully curated collection of furniture and styling pieces, fixed backdrop installations, and a continuous light. To provide even greater creative flexibility, guests may also utilize our rolling walls and seamless paper backdrop options.

To ensure a comfortable and effortless experience, complimentary chilled waters, and a portable Bluetooth speaker are available for use throughout your booking.

When can I get in and when do I need to leave?

Guests may enter the studio up to 5 minutes before their scheduled reservation time, provided the space is not occupied by a prior booking. We kindly ask that you respect the privacy and rental time of other guests and wait outside the studio until it becomes available.

To help us provide a seamless experience for all of our guests, we ask that sessions begin and end on time. Please begin wrapping up your session at least 5 minutes before your reservation ends, and ensure the studio is fully vacated within 5 minutes of your scheduled end time.

Before departing, all furniture, props, and equipment should be returned to their original locations, and the studio should be left clean and in the same condition in which it was found.

Note: To keep the schedule running smoothly for everyone, a fee of $10 will be charged for each additional 5-minute increment spent in the studio outside of your reserved rental period, including unauthorized early entry or late departure.

Does my rental time include setup and cleanup?

Yes! Your reserved time includes setup, your session, and cleanup. Please plan your time accordingly so you are completely finished and out of the studio when your rental ends.

Can I move the furniture?

Absolutely! We want you to make the space work for your vision. Please lift furniture when moving it and return everything to its original location before leaving.

Can I bring my own props or equipment?

Yes! You’re welcome to bring additional props, décor, cameras, lighting, or other equipment that you need for your session.

Can I bring clients, models, children, or a small team?

Of course! Your rental is designed for creatives and their clients. Please keep your group within the occupancy limit listed for the studio (25 people max).

Is there a changing area?

Yes, the studio has a designated area available for wardrobe changes. Prop dresses for women and children are also available within the dressing room.

Is Wi-Fi available?

No, Wi-Fi is currently not available in our space.

Can I bring food and drinks?

Yes, but please keep food and drinks contained and clean up any spills or messes before you leave. Alcohol is permitted only with prior approval.

What happens if I need more time or am running late?

Need more time: Additional time may be available depending on the schedule. Please contact us as soon as possible or book an additional time slot if available. Please don’t assume you can stay beyond your reservation.

Running late: Your rental still ends at the scheduled time, so arriving late will reduce the time available for your session. If you’re running behind, please reach out and let us know.

What if I need to cancel, reschedule, or something gets damaged?

Cancellations: Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change. Cancellations made at least 72 hours before your reservation may receive a refund or be rescheduled. Cancellations made within 72 hours will result in a forfeiture of the booking fee. No-shows are non-refundable. Rescheduling is always welcomed and encouraged.

Damages: Accidents happen! Please let us know right away if something is damaged or broken. Depending on the situation, additional fees may apply.

How do I access the studio?

Your access instructions, entry information, and any door codes will be provided with your booking confirmation or shortly before your scheduled rental.

Do I need to clean the studio?

We simply ask that you reset the space, remove trash and personal belongings, wipe and sweep up any messes, and return furniture and props to their original locations. Please leave the studio tidy for the next guest.

Are Cake Smashes Allowed?

Absolutely! Cake smash sessions are welcome at The Visionary. A cake smash fee is required and must be added to your reservation at the time of booking. Guests are responsible for completing the required cleanup before the end of their reservation. Additional cleaning fees may be assessed if the space is not restored according to the provided guidelines.

Are pets allowed?

Well-behaved pets are welcome with an additional fee! To help us maintain the studio for all guests, pets are not permitted on furniture or upholstered pieces. Guests are responsible for ensuring that all pet hair, waste, and related messes are thoroughly cleaned before the end of their reservation. Additional cleaning fees may apply if the space requires extra attention after your booking.

Are there restrictions on glitter, confetti, smoke, candles, or messy setups?

Temporary decorations are welcome! However, to protect our space, only painter’s tape may be used on the walls. Nails, screws, staples, permanent adhesives, glitter, confetti, and paint are strictly prohibited.

Can backdrops be changed? Can I move your seasonal sets?

Our seasonal installations on the moveable wall or front window are thoughtfully designed and styled to create a cohesive experience for all guests. For this reason, seasonal sets and the furnishings incorporated within them must remain as styled and may not be moved, rearranged, or altered during your reservation.

We invite guests to enjoy and photograph these spaces as designed while utilizing the studio’s movable furniture and props throughout the remainder of the space.

Is there a restroom or parking available?

Restroom: Yes! The bathrooms are located down the hall, past the staircase. The women’s bathroom is locked at all times, a key is provided on the shelf.
